Join us for an autumn celebration of intricately woven harmonies along the Hudson River.  Many of the finest college a cappella groups in New York and beyond will showcase their pitch-perfect vocal renditions from a diverse variety of musical genres.  Bring a blanket and a picnic lunch!  Enjoy the music with New York Harbor and the Statue of Liberty as backdrop!

THE N’HARMONICS (NYU) – New York University’s most heart-pounding a cappella group, the N’Harmonics forge tight harmonies, belt unwritten riffs, and redefine a cappella. Founded in NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts in 1997, the N’Harmonics have performed at venues such as Joe’s Pub, 54 Below, Town Hall, the Bowery Poetic Club, the Beacon Theater, and Lincoln Center.  Alumni of the group have gone on to perform on Glee and the Glee Project, as well as on Broadway and National Tours in shows like West Side Story, Wicked, Mama Mia, Hair, Spring Awakening, and Bring It On.

THE SIL’HOOETTES (UNIVERSITY OF VIRGINIA) – The Sil’hooettes are one of the most acclaimed all-female a cappella groups in the country.  Established in 1989, the Sils have performed at the White House, opened for B.o.B., and been featured on MTV. In the past year, they were named the #1 female a cappella group by College Magazine, and were nominated for four Contemporary A Cappella Recording Awards.

THE SPIZZWINKS (?) (YALE UNIVERSITY) – The Spizzwinks(?) are America’s first underclassman a cappella group. The all-male group has performed at Madison Square Garden, Carnegie Hall, and the Forbidden City Concert Hall in Beijing. They have opened for Lady Gaga and shared the stage with the Cape Town youth choir. Alumni have gone on to acclaimed careers as writers, composers, and performers on such shows as The Book of Mormon, The Daily Show, and The West Wing.

THE VASSAR DEVILS – The Vassar Devils are known for tight harmonies, polished sound, complex arrangements, and infectious sense of fun. Their repertoire includes everything from indie ballads to classic rock to sexy jazz to Beyoncé. They have performed at the Beacon Theater, Boston Symphony Hall, and the White House, and have competed successfully in many a cappella competitions, reaching the ICCA finals in 2015.

THE BROWN’STONES (BROWN UNIVERSITY) – The Brown’sTones are Brown University’s freshest and fiercest a cappella group. Founded in 1992, the all-female group, which prides itself on its diversity, has performed in London, San Francisco, and New York City.

THE PRINCETON NASSOONS (PRINCETON UNIVERSITY) – Founded 1941, the Princeton Nassoons are Princeton’s oldest a cappella ensemble and the third oldest collegiate group in the nation. The all-male group has been touring domestically and internationally since the 50s, with recent tours to Switzerland, Hong Kong, France, Korea, Germany, and the White House, as well as the sets of Good Morning America and the Tonight Show with Jay Leno. They recently filmed with Tina Fey for her movie, Admission. Their extensive repertoire covers music from the 1940’s to the most recent chart-topping hits.

NOTES & KEYS (COLUMBIA UNIVERSITY) –  Founded in 1909, Notes & Keys is Columbia University’s oldest and finest co-ed a cappella group. With a diverse and expanding repertoire of arrangements written by their own members, they have performed on VH1 and at NYC’s Knickerbocker Club, Yankee Stadium, Dylan’s Candy Bar, the United Nations, and annually at Gracie Mansion.
