Battery Park City Parks Conservancy (BPCPC) a private, not-for-profit organization, dedicated to the management of the parks of Battery Park City has openings in the following areas:
POSITION TITLE: Hourly Parks Programming Specialist
DEPARTMENT: Parks Programming
Parks Programming Specialists are critical resources for BPCPC, providing a depth of knowledge and vision about programming within their respective area of expertise. As part of their overall responsibility for program planning, design, and implementation; Programming Specialists create a variety of lesson plans for activities that will be offered throughout the season which are both age-appropriate and engaging, and further the public's appreciation of the parks. Working with Programming Leaders, Programming Specialists create a welcoming environment for the public and have the ability to impart their knowledge and skill to both novices and experts alike. Given the unpredictability of the public's attendance, Specialists must manage programs flexibly and be spontaneous within the context of plans established for the season's activities.
