Make Fridays your night for family swimming! Parents and kids can free-swim together all year round in our indoor half-Olympic sized pool! Bring your own towel, lock and swim cap and we’ll provide you with a fun array of pool toys, noodles and floaties. Dedicated lanes are also available for lap swimmers. Free for CCSHS Members. If you’re not a Community Center member yet, Day Passes are available for only $15 for adults and $10 for youth, students and seniors.

Join BPCPC’s contemporary art historian, Dorothea Basile, for a tour of the Wagner Park public art collection, including works by Jim Dine and Louise Bourgeois. Meet at the brick pavilions.
Advanced Beginner Swimming Lessons for Ages 6-Adult
This ten-class series is held on each Sunday from September 28 through December 7, 2014, 1:45-2:30pm. This class is open to swimmers ages 6 and up. Practice basic strokes and learn important new skills such as butterfly kicking on back and front, freestyle touch-ups and the backstroke. All swimmers will need to bring a towel, a swim cap, goggles and a lock. PLEASE NOTE: There is still room in this series. You may join the class and pay on a pro-rated basis. Walks & Talks: Wildlife Tales of the City
NYC Naturalist Dave Taft, a frequent contributor to the New York Times, discusses growing up with bats in Brooklyn and wild turkeys in Battery Park. Look for birds and rare native plants reintroduced in BPCPCs gardens.

Beginner Group Swimming Lessons
The Community Center at Stuyvesant High School is offering this ten-class series, held on Sundays from September 28 through December 7, 2014, from 1:00pm to 1:45pm. Get comfortable getting in the water and learn important basic skills such as breathing, kicking on front and back, elementary treading and freestyle. Swimmers will need to bring a towel, goggles and a lock. Ages 6 – Adult.
Public Art Tour with workshop
Learn about Rector Gate with a contemporary art historian. This art tour includes an art making activity for families: creating a fanciful tower or archway.
